There are three kinds of glass sealant. They are: Acid, Alkaline, and Neutral.
For laminated glass with EVA FILM, it’s better to use the Neutral Glass Sealant.
And also only the laminated glasses with the outdoor super-clear EVA FILM can be sealed by the Glass Sealant.
But some EVA FILM Manufacturer has produced the Outdoor EVA Film can be used with Acid Glass Sealant. But, please check with the EVA FILM Manufacturer before you are going to use the Acid Glass Sealant.
Note: The Acid Glass Sealant is better in adhesion than Neutral Glass Sealant.

The manufacturers for the glass sealant:
1) Dow Corning is a great brand for the silicon glass sealant.
2) There are some manufacturers in China producing the glass sealant. Their products are great too.
3. Like the EVA FILM which has many colors, the glass sealant also has many colors to match the glasses.

FAILED LAMINATED GLASS
It’s possible that you unsuccessfully manufacture laminated glass with Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Interlayer Film. The reason may be bubbles, dirty, not transparent enough, etc. And you think it’s a waste to just throw them away. You want to recycle the failed Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA laminated glass. So first challenge you need to face is how to open the failed Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA laminated glass?

HOW TO OPEN FAILED ETHYLENE-VINYL ACETATE EVA FILM LAMINATED GLASS
Use knife to cut the edges of the cross linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film. Make sure the cut is a little big.

Put the cut inside the BANANA OIL.

Banana oil is a term that is applied either to pure isoamyl acetate or to flavorings that are mixtures of isoamyl acetate, amyl acetate, and other flavors. Isoamyl acetate, also known as isopentyl acetate, is an organic compound that is the ester formed from isoamyl alcohol and acetic acid. It is a colorless liquid that is only slightly soluble in water, but very soluble in most organic solvents. Isoamyl acetate has a strong odor (similar to Juicy Fruit, a foam banana sweet or a pear drop) which is also described as similar to both banana and pear.

After cross linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film adhesive is destroyed by the BANANA OIL, then it’s easier to open the failed Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA laminated glass.
And you can put the failed laminated glass in to BANANA OIL again if you find the destroy of cross-linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film is not enough.

TEST BEOFRE MASS PRODUCING
The best way to avoid the failed Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA laminated glass is that you test small samples before mass producing.

TIPS
Make sure the glass surface is clean, which will lead to more accurate test value.
Avoiding several glass laid together, or it may lead to wrong test result.
Keep the back side of CNC GLASS THICKNESS TESTER clean. You can use ethanol to clean it.
Don’t face the sunlight when you doing the glass thickness test.
Don’t face the back side of the tester to human eyes when you are testing.
Put the CNC GLASS THICKNESS TESTER in the clean and dry place.
